Making maple butter is a tedious task however very worth it because it’s the most delicious butter you’ll ever taste! The key is to get quality 100% all natural maple syrup. You don’t want a maple syrup with artificial flavors or preservatives, you want the 100% pure maple syrup.

Then you’ll want to take your maple syrup and put it in a sauce pot and cook for about 30 minutes until it reaches 230 degrees Fahrenheit. Once it reaches 230 degrees Fahrenheit you have to stop the burner and let the pot sit in cold water in the sink till it drops to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once it drops down to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, you need to stir regularly to get the right consistency. This is where you’re going to get a bit of an arm work out however once the butter forms you can put it on almost anything and it also freezes very well.
